The Supernatural Fandom was the cornerstone of Random Acts’ beginnings and we continue to be supported by the community. It is with great joy and excitement that we announce a multi-faceted partnership with IMAlive and To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA) to bring this new initiative to fruition. Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, and Creation Stands have joined together with Random Acts to provide support for this important program.
The #SPNFamily Crisis Support Network is a community support system that helps fans cope with mental health issues such as depression, self-injury, and addiction.
Together, and in partnership with Jensen and Misha’s “You Are Not Alone” Creation Stands T-shirt campaign (launching February 2016), we are raising funds to develop this online community platform. The platform will provide:
- Training for fan volunteers who wish to be crisis responders in their spare time,
- Immediate access to support lifelines for fans in crisis, and
- Local community resources for those needing additional support or information.
We’re currently developing the crisis support website and have already started beta testing on a training program for the Supernatural Fandom.
